The trinational summer school offers an intensive introduction to biodiversity research and modern monitoring methods. In Białowieża National Park, students work in one of Europe's most species-rich forest ecosystems and learn about its ecological and socio-economic characteristics. The focus is on identifying plants, small mammals and orthoptera, as well as the use of current field methods. In addition, students gain in-depth knowledge of sampling designs, multi-scale sampling and statistical analysis of biodiversity data.
Detailed information about the planned Summer School 2026 and impressions from previous years can be found in the flyer.
The registration deadline is 30 April 2026.
